Here is your kind reminder that movement does not always have to be an hour in the gym. Movement is what ever you want it to be, whatever brings you the most joy, whatever makes you feel empowered.
Try this 7 day movement challenge to move your body in different ways!
Day 1: Full Body Movement (no weights)
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need an expensive gym membership or fancy equipment to get in a good workout! Pick some of your favourite exercises, and get moving!
Day 2: Try a group fitness class!
As the world is slowly starting to open back up again, group workout settings are back! Try out a new class in your local community to try something new!
Day 3: Get Outside
Take advantage of the warmer weather coming our way, take your movement outside, however that may look to you!
Day 4: Dance
No rhythm? It’s ok, no one is watching! Dancing is a great way to get your heart rate up and release all the emotions and feelings you have stored inside.. Put on your favourite song and move your body!
Day 5: Take a 10 Minute Walk After Each Meal!
Moving your body after your meal not only helps digestion, but gives you a mental break before jumping back into work, take 10 minutes after each meal to be present and move your body. By the end of the day, you’ll have added 30 extra minutes of restoring movement!
Day 6: Try A New Hike With A Friend!
Grab a friend and try something new!
Day 7: Hot Yoga
To finish off the week, try a cleansing hot yoga class and challenge your body in a restorative way!
