20 Min Low Calorie `Ginger Beef`

As a young girl growing up in Calgary Ginger Beef was always a family favourite when we ordered Chinese Food. However, the high caloric count of this dish made it challenging to enjoy on a regular basis. However with the help of the T-Fal Air Fryer we have managed to keep the flavour of this traditional dish, with far less calories and no more than 20 min prep time!

Ingredients:

1lb Beef steak cut in strips

  • 1 lb Beef steak cut into strips1⁄2 cup Cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 2 Egg whites
  • 1⁄4 Green pepper julienned
  • 1⁄4 Yellow pepper julienned
  • 1⁄4 Orange pepper julienned
  • 2 Green onions chopped
  • 2 tbsp Ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp Seseme Oil
  • 4 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 3 tbsp Low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar (Stevia Brown Sugar.)
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

Directions:

Mix corn starch, egg whites and water.
Stir in beef, coat beef with mixture.
Put coated meat into the fryer.
Add coconut oil and cook for 20 min.
Mix peppers, sesame oil, garlic and ginger.
Remove meat from the fryer and set aside.
Put in pepper mixture. Cook for 5 min.
Mix final ingredients soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar and pepper flakes.

Add meat back to fryer with peppers and final ingredients.

Cook for 5 min. Dish out and ENJOY!!
